Motor Imagery

Researchers have found that patients improve faster when they repeatedly imagine painlessly performing an activity or exercise in their mind. This type of training is called motor imagery.

Motor imagery starts by resting in a comfortable position, then repeatedly imagine performing a (previously uncomfortable) activity without any pain, i.e., imagine bending over with NO trouble.
